Jeanette Sue Kearns, age 86, of Tiffin and formerly of Marion County, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
Sue was born August 12, 1938 in Logan County, OH, the daughter of Vaughn and Martha (Zupp) McAlexander. She was a 1956 graduate of Belle Center High School and then attended the Columbus Business College.
On January 18, 1958 she was united in marriage to Daniel F. Kearns in Belle Center. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2006.
Sue was employed with Hills Department Store where she worked until her retirement. She was a member of the Forest Lawn Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children: Beverly Best and John (Melissa) Kearns; daughter-in-law Aimee Kearns; grandchildren: Matthew, Noel (Curtis), Daniel F. (Laurie) III, Ashley (Mike), Blaec (Taylor), Kylie (Cody), and Katelyn (Patrick); great grandchildren: Silas, Kaylor, Brady, Dutton, Allison, Wiley and 3 on the way; sister Yvonne (the late Jerry) Elliott; siblings-in-law: Dave (the late Nancy) Kearns, Frank (Karen) Kearns, Betty Hildreth, Mary (Ron) Keller; and many special nieces and nephews.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel F. Kearns, Sr; children: Daniel F. Kearns, Jr. and Bryan Kearns; siblings-in-law: Marshall (Elizabeth), Steven (Karen), and Lowell Kearns.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center St., Marion from 10 a.m. to noon; funeral service will follow at noon; burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
