Jane M. Moffitt, age 83, entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

On December 13, 1941 Jane was born in Columbus, Ohio. The daughter of the late John B. and Thelma (Snyder) Traul. Jane attended Bellefontaine High School and graduated with the class of 1959. She went on to University of Northwestern Ohio and received a Business Degree. On November 27, 1962 Jane married her soulmate, Philip Richard Moffit. The loving couple shared 60 marvelous years together.

Jane had a gentle heart and a nurturing spirit. Whether she was cooking a comforting meal, baking something sweet to share, or knitting a cozy blanket for a loved one, she found joy in giving of herself. She was also an avid reader who loved to get lost in a good book, often sharing her favorites with friends and family.

Jane was extremely active in the Junior Service Guild and T.W.I.G 1 Women’s board at Marion General Hospital.

Above all, Jane loved her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating special memories filled with laughter, stories, and love.

Jane was known throughout her community as a caregiver, someone who could be counted on for compassion, a listening ear, and a helping hand. She built lasting friendships and shared countless good times with her weekly dining companions, especially her dear friends from the Pleasant “Bicycle Group,” who brought her much happiness and laughter over the years.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Brad Moffitt, Julie Kessler, and Laura (Ed) Murphy; grandchildren: Colin, Bridget, Tara, and Sean Murphy; sister, Susan Pallos; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip R. Moffitt; and brothers: John Traul and Richard Traul.
