Carolyn Ruth Ward, 86, of Lakeview, OH passed away Saturday evening, November 8, 2025, at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center.
Carolyn was born on May 7, 1939, in Knox County, TN, a daughter of the late Thelbert Clark and Lillian (Pedigo) Stalsworth.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul E Lindsey, the father of her two sons and love of her life, and second husband, Karl Ward. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Karnes.
Carolyn is survived by two sons, David (Tina) Lindsey of Concord, NC, and Michael (Sherry) Lindsey of Bellefontaine, OH, three grandchildren, Jeremy Lindsey, Justin Lindsey, and Jessica Dilworth, four great grandchildren, Jeremy, Seth, Kayce, and Joseph, a sister, Sandra Hodsden of Knoxville, TN, and several stepchildren, step grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren.
Carolyn worked many jobs in factories and saloons throughout her life, and then at National Management Association in Dayton for many years where she traveled for work through the United States before retiring.
Carolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a young age and loved the Lord. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Powell, TN where she taught youth Sunday School classes when she was younger. She loved to cook and bake and was known for her special pumpkin rolls. Carolyn was a “giver” and would help anyone she saw in need. Also, she cared for and supported many people in her family and circle of friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, at Huntsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Carolyn’s memory to Logan County Cancer Society c/o Mary Rutan Hospital.
