Jack L. Orahood, 87, of West Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at his residence following many months of failing health.

Jack worked as a millwright with Union Local #712 for many years. A member of the West Mansfield Conservation Club, he loved hunting and fishing, woodworking and his gun collection. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and taking his Polaris side by side out on the trails with the kids on their dirt bikes. He also formerly attended the West Mansfield Church of Christ.

Born March 11, 1936 in West Mansfield, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Clara (Smith) Orahood. On March 9, 1973, he married Ruby E. Stephenson Orahood and she preceded him in death on January 12, 2002.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, David Orahood; a granddaughter, Becky Cisco; six sisters, Frieda (Clarence) Amos, Marie (Dale) Wilson, Nadine (Dave) Clagg, Minnie (Jack) Jones, Sandra (Willis Knight) (Joe) Slaven and Goldie (Bud) Garwood; five brothers, Charles (Doris) Orahood, Frank (Francis) Orahood, Fred (Elma) Orahood, Faye (Beulah) Orahood, and Francis “Fanny” Orahood.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Willis) Cisco of Bellefontaine; a son, Scott Lynn (Kamela) Titlow of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Billy Titlow, Josh Orahood, Jason Orahood and Jessie Orahood; several great grandchildren; and sister, Lela Hone of Dublin.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 10, at the East Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 9, at the Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield.
