FFA ‘Friendsgiving’ meal brings members together for fellowship, service

The Benjamin Logan FFA Chapter gathered for its November meeting by hosting a Friendsgiving celebration that combined organizational business with meaningful community service and fellowship.

Approximately 60 FFA members and guests attended the meeting and Friendsgiving meal.

During the meeting, members discussed and passed several main motions, including adopting a family for the holiday season and sponsoring an Ag Bag through the Logan County Farm Bureau. These initiatives reflect the chapter’s ongoing commitment to serving the local community and supporting area families.

Following the adjournment of the business session, members enjoyed a Friendsgiving meal, with the help of contributions from their families.

This time of fellowship provided an opportunity for students to connect with one another and continue building the strong, family-like atmosphere that is central to the FFA experience.

After the meal, members transitioned into a hands-on service project, creating hand-crocheted blankets to donate to the local domestic violence shelter, the Soteria House. This act of service underscores the chapter’s dedication to meeting community needs and supporting individuals facing challenging circumstances.

Community engagement remains a top priority for the Benjamin Logan FFA Chapter, and the November Friendsgiving event showcased the organization’s values of leadership, service and unity.
