Former Bellefontaine baseball coach Mark Brunswick is part of the Class of 2026 for the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Brunswick also coached at Marysville and Lehman Catholic and has recorded more than 500 wins.
He played for Coldwater and helped the Cavaliers to state titles in 1983 and 1984.
He was a teacher at Bellefontaine for 29 years and led the Chieftains to appearances in the state tournament in 2004 and 2006.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Brunswick wrote, “First I would like to extend congratulations to all the inductees. It is so amazing for me to go in with a fine group of coaches. Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way. To the great communities of Coldwater, Bellefontaine and Marysville, to the players, coaches and teachers, to the parents, administrators and colleagues, I say thank you.”
He also expressed appreciation to his wife and family, including his parents, Lou and Ann.
Brunswick’s late father is also a member of the OHSBCA Hall of Fame.
The other inductees are Tim Broskie (Whetstone); Brent Renollet (Delta, Tinora); John Sarver (Buchtel, Kenmore, Hoban, Ellet) and Kevin Yoder (Berlin Hiland, Coschoton, Tri-Valley).
