Morgan Trees, a Benjamin Logan Elementary first-grader, has the honor of representing the West Mansfield American Legion Post 603 as Little Miss Poppy for 2025.
A daughter of Tiffany and Kyle Trees of West Mansfield, Morgan is inspired by her family’s strong military heritage and service and is passionate about giving back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country.
Her grandfather, Robert Foos, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; her great-grandfather Gerald Trees, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; and another great-grandfather served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1958.
To show her support, Morgan is collecting donations for the Operation Comfort Warriors, a program that provides wounded service members with rehabilitation equipment for physical therapy, as well as comfort items, such as special clothing, electronics, sports equipment, music and more.
Her goal is to raise more than $500 for this meaningful cause. Every contribution helps to support the recovery and well-being of our nation’s heroes.
