A passing motorist alerted fire personnel Monday afternoon to a fire at The Landing Tavern, 235 E. Main St., Russells Point.
Indian Joint Fire District responded to the restaurant-bar about 1:15 p.m. with reports of heavy smoke coming from the rear of the building.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was contained to the outside patio bar area.
The blaze reportedly originated from a beer cooler on the patio.
The business was closed Monday and reopened Tuesday, June 18, except for the patio area which will remain closed until repairs for smoke and other damage are made, according to a post on The Landing’s Facebook page.
Lakeview Fire Department personnel assisted at the scene.
