Laqeata E. Floyd, 41, of Cincinnati, was transported by BMRT squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 7.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a northbound 2022 Kia Soul on State Route 117 near State Route 273 when she tried to pass a semi tractor-trailer on the left side of the road.
However, deputies said the driver encountered oncoming traffic and took evasive action by going off the left side of the road into the ditch.
Damage was moderate to the car, which was towed from the scene.
Floyd, who was wearing her seat belt, was cited for failure to control.
