Diana K. Cox, 66, of Indian Lake, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 11, 2025.
Born on August 9, 1959, in Hollywood California, Diana was the daughter of Maria Ketel and Gary Cox. Diana had many hobbies as a child, including gymnastics and ice skating. She also took part in dog shows from a young age developing a lifelong love for dogs. During her teen years, she went to Hollywood High School and developed her love for adventure. She often reminisced about daring adventures in the Hollywood Hills or sunny days spent relaxing at the beach.
After high school she left California and spent several years traveling the country. She made it all the way to the east coast before heading back west and meeting Michael Hooker in Colorado, where they had the first of two children, William Hooker. After having a child, she settled down a little. They would spend their summers in Colorado and winters in Florida, where 4 years later they had a second child, Clayton Hooker.
They moved to Indian Lake area in 1989. During this time Diana was a stay-at-home mother and helped manage The Ark restaurant. In 1996 she started her career with the postal service where she spent 24 years serving the Indian Lake area. She took pride in her work and befriended many in the area.
She is survived by her partner of 43 years Michael Hooker; sons William Hooker and Clayton (Kayla) Hooker; and one granddaughter Alayna.
