Russell Lusby, 69, of 117 W. Brown Ave., was arrested and charged with assault Sunday, April 27, following an incident at his home.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to the west Brown residence about 5:55 p.m. on the report of a domestic dispute.
While interviewing witnesses in a separate part of the residence, officers heard multiple individuals engaged in a verbal dispute in another part of the house. When they intervened, officers found Lusby cursing the victim while holding a saucepan.
The victim reported that Lusby threatened her with the saucepan and attempted to hit her with it. Witnesses at the scene confirmed the victim’s account. When the victim reported that she had ongoing issues with harassment by Lusby, officers took Lusby into custody and transported him to the Logan County Jail.
