Christmas has officially arrived in Indian Lake, as Santa Claus made his way into Lakeview on a Lakeview Fire Department truck during the annual parade on a chilly Thursday evening, Dec. 4, with wind chills dipping down into the teens and single digits. Saturday, Dec. 6, a plethora of holiday activities abound in downtown Lakeview, including breakfast with Santa at the AMVETS from 8 to 9:30 a.m., followed by a scavenger hunt, petting zoo with free pony rides, and Santa visits at the North Pole, all from 9 to 11:30 a.m. A gift giveaway from the scavenger hunt begins at noon at the Lakeview Fire Department. In addition, Santa’s workshop at the Young at Heart Center also takes place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Santa’s stops at the North Pole conclude Dec. 11 and 18, running from 5:30 to 7 p.m. (JAMIE ROSS PHOTO)
