On the heels of a strong performance at the Elite 11 Finals last week in Los Angeles, Bellefontaine’s Tavien St. Clair did not disappoint at the Rivals Five Star Camp this week in Jacksonville, Fla.

St. Clair on Wednesday was named the camp’s quarterback MVP. He was joined at the Rivals camp by numerous other top signal callers from around the country, including Alabama commit Keelon Russell, who was the MVP at the Elite 11 Finals.

“St. Clair showed once again why he’s one of the nation’s elite players,” said Rivals recruiting analyst Greg Smith of St. Clair’s performance. “He’s got plenty of zip on his passes but is able to layer his throws with ease. The future Buckeye is also able to make accurate throws from a variety of arm angles.

“He already looks the part at 6-foot-4, 228 pounds. The discussion about St. Clair now is all about if he is the best player in the country.”

It has been a sensational summer for St. Clair as he prepares for his final season at Bellefontaine. He is currently ranked as the number-two quarterback and the number-two player overall nationally by the recruiting website 247 Sports.

St. Clair headlines an Ohio State class that is dominating college football recruiting for 2025. With 19 players currently in the class, Ohio State has the number-one ranked group in the country according to 247 Sports. St. Clair is one of three five-star recruits the Buckeyes have reeled in. The others are cornerback Devin Sanchez from Texas and cornerback Na’eem Offord from Alabama.

A starter since his freshman year at BHS, St. Clair was a first-team all-Ohio selection as a junior when he was 233-of-330 passing for 3,083 yards and 37 touchdowns with just six interceptions. He also ran for 352 yards and four touchdowns on 36 attempts.
