A lifelong Logan County resident, Dougie Boggs is deeply rooted in the place he proudly calls home.

He is raising his family here and treasures the strong sense of community, especially the way people come together in times of need. Boggs saw that unity firsthand during the tornado relief efforts, where United Way of Logan County played a critical role.

His own journey has been touched by United Way’s impact. He has been named the 2025 campaign chair for the United Way of Logan County.

“United Way serves as the glue in our community, bringing together resources and people from all walks of life,” Dougie says. “I’m grateful to be working in a job that receives United Way funding. Their support of Recovery Zone, the homeless shelter and outreach programs makes a lasting difference.”

Through his work at Recovery Zone, a United Way-supported agency, Boggs serves as the Incarceration Outreach Program Director and is a certified Peer Recovery Supporter.

In this role, he helps identify barriers to recovery and walks alongside individuals as they overcome them. He also serves on the board of the Peak of Hope Shelter, another United Way partner, and is a co-leader and Catalytic Guide with the Logan County Harwood Initiative.

Boggs has witnessed the ripple effect United Way creates—providing not only food and housing assistance but also empowering agencies to expand their reach and resources. This support touches lives in shelters, outreach programs, and countless other corners of the community.
