Three Benjamin Logan High School graduates received the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization during the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis.
Peyton Henry, Mylee Boysel and Kane Gibson each were awarded the American FFA Degree, which shows an FFA member’s dedication to his or her chapter and state FFA association.
To be eligible to receive the American FFA Degree, members must meet qualifications such as receiving a State FFA Degree, holding active membership for the past three years, completing secondary instruction in an agricultural education program and operating an outstanding supervised agricultural experience program. Community service, leadership abilities and outstanding scholastic achievement are also required.
Gibson is currently running his own landscape and excavation business called Next Level Outdoor Services.
“The experience shaped my work ethic and strengthened the sense of responsibility I bring to every new opportunity. It also helped me build skills in project management and collaboration that continue to influence my path forward.”
Henry is currently in his last session of College at the University of Northwestern Ohio and will be graduating Dec. 23, 2025, with a degree in agricultural equipment.

In addition, 18 current Benjamin Logan FFA members attended the national convention, a multi-day trip that provided students with valuable learning experiences, opportunities to connect with FFA chapters from across the nation, along with fun and fellowship.
The trip began with a guided tour at Teeter Organic Farms, where members learned about the farm’s history, mission, and community involvement.
Following the tour, the chapter explored Conner Prairie, a living history museum. Members walked through historical exhibits, captured memorable photos, and gained a deeper appreciation for the past.
The evening concluded with a rodeo, where students connected with other FFA chapters and enjoyed events ranging from bareback bronc riding to bull iding.
On the second day, members began early by attending the opening session of the convention at Lucas Oil Stadium, where they heard from several keynote speakers. The group then explored the Convention Center and FFA Shopping Mall, engaging with exhibitors and completing a photo assignment that encouraged exploration and teamwork.
Later, they attended the second general session, which featured additional motivational stories and recognition of national proficiency award winners.
The final day of the trip was dedicated to community service as part of the National Day of Service. Members worked together to give back to the community. After completing their service project, students enjoyed hot chocolate and snacks as they reflected on their experience.
The Benjamin Logan FFA chapter expressed its gratitude for the opportunity to attend this national event and looks forward to continuing its tradition of excellence in agricultural education and leadership development.
