The Benjamin Logan boys bowling team traveled to Dayton on Saturday to compete in the Division II Southwest Sectional Tournament at S&S Capri Lanes.

The Raiders narrowly missed advancing as a team, finishing 14th overall out of 31 teams and falling just 67 pins short of the cutoff for the district tournament. Despite the close team finish, Benjamin Logan qualified two individuals for district competition.

Leading the Raiders was sophomore Conner Chambers, who rolled a 570 series with games of 170, 231, and 169. Chambers placed fourth overall in the individual standings to earn a berth in the Division II District Tournament.

Junior Colton Klopfenstein also advanced, posting a 557 series on games of 145, 220, and 192. Klopfenstein finished eighth in the individual qualifier field.

Additional scores for the Raiders included senior Paxton Henry with a 517 series (202, 160, 155), placing 55th out of 219 bowlers. Senior Wyatt LeVan added a high game of 199, while sophomore Pierce Jenkins contributed games of 155 and 139.

Chambers and Klopfenstein will compete in the Division II District Tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Beaver-Vu Lanes in Beavercreek. Doors open at 9 a.m.

District tournament tickets will be available through the Ohio High School Athletic Association website approximately three to five days prior to the event. Spectator tickets may be limited.
