Area players were part of the field for the boys and girls district golf tournaments at PipeStone Golf Club.
In the girls Division II field on Wednesday, Reaghan McDaniel of Riverside had a score of 83, and tied for ninth overall.
West Liberty-Salem finished 12th with a team score of 457.
Individual scores for the Tigers were Geneva Estep (102), Marisa Smith (110), Olivia Reichardt (121), Grace Jones (124) and Taylor Cook (130).
“There was some really tough competition, and we didn’t have our best outing,” said WL-S coach John Stoner. “I always say a person never has a bad day playing golf; there are just some days that are better than others.” The program is in its fourth year, and this was the second straight trip to districts.
Advancing to the state tournament were Madeira (332) and Fenwick (333), along with Sophia Fink of CHCA (71) and Charlotte Soller of Mariemont (77).
BOYS
For the Division II boys on Tuesday, Jaxon Snipes of Indian Lake had a score of 89. Coach Nick Tucci noted it was a solid finish to a great individual season.
The top two teams were Archbishop Alter (300) and Roger Bacon (308).
The individuals heading to state are Carter Adkins of Northwestern (72) and Luke Stephens of Arcanum (75).
