Thursday, Sept. 18, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center will be conducting an active shooter drill in partnership with the Logan County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Bellefontaine Police Department, and Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.

“This will be an in-depth training exercise designed to test and improve our emergency response protocols. While we hope to never face a real situation like this, we take our responsibility for our student’s safety seriously,” OHP officials said.

The district wants to inform the public that there will be a number of emergency vehicles on campus for the drill, along with students walking to the YMCA to practice the reunification process.
