Tammy L. Purtee, 61, of Lewistown, OH, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.
Tammy was born on February 20, 1964, in Bellefontaine, OH, a daughter of the late Ann Edna Cleo Watkins Thompson Vest. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Thelma Purtee, and Trina Kay Thompson, brothers and sister-in-law, Randy Thompson, and Daniel and Judy Thompson, father-in-law, William Purtee, mother-in-law, Dorothy Purtee, brothers-in-law, Chuck Creger and Dean Baker, sister-in-law, Rosemary Purtee, and a nephew, AJ Baker.
Tammy married Ronald E. Purtee on May 6, 1978, in Logansville, OH, and he survives. She is also survived by four children, Ronald N. (April) Purtee, of Lowellville, OH, Donald (Crystal) Purtee of DeGraff, OH, Tylaina (Mark) Evans of Huntsville, OH, Johnathon Purtee of Columbus, OH, eleven grandchildren, Andrew (Shy) Evans, Mark Evans II, Mason (Rain) Evans, Rylie Purtee, Kalista Wolfgang, Jeremy Wolfgang, Kaeleona (Robert) Davis, Zolena (Nicholas) Large, Tyler Speakman, Cyan Fout, and Arianna Fout, five great-grandchildren, Nova Grace Large, Norah Reign Elise Large, Jacob Eugene Large, A’lani Amore Evans, and Xander Dane Evans, three siblings, Karol Creger, Raymond (Alice) Thompson, Keith (Dawn) Thompson, sisters/brothers-in-law, Bev Kemmere, Teresea Baker, Sandy Thompson, Bill Purtee, Tim (Jo) Purtee, Mike Purtee, Jim Purtee, and Jerry Purtee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tammy enjoyed reading, watching old movies and Youtube channel, and playing bingo and video games. Tammy’s family was everything to her and she loved the time she spent with them.
Private inurnment will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
