Chieftain Leaders’ Fall Fest delights crowd, more spooky fun set for this week

The Halloween spirit was on display at Bellefontaine High School Tuesday night, Oct. 28, for the student-led Chieftain Leaders’ third annual Fall Fest.

Youngsters enjoyed family fun in the BHS Café and under the home stands at AcuSport Stadium. 

Attendees enjoyed a cake walk, face painting, pumpkin painting, photo booth, putt-putt golf, Halloween trivia, and even a “Spooktacular” BCS bus, where participants could go on board, if they dared to enter, and receive sweet treats.

Stocked Event Rentals provided various games for the festival. Chieftain Leaders President Natalie Snapp spearheaded Tuesday’s event.

Other frightfully-fun activities this week include: 

Beggar’s Night — 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, for most of Logan County. 

RTC’s Haunted Halls — 4:30 to 6 p.m., RTC Services, 334 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine, safe for all ages, trick-or-treat in costume in the haunted halls, receive free hot dogs, popcorn, beverages. 

Russells Point Trunk-or-Treat — 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, Russells Point Municipal Building, 320 S. Orchard Island Drive; Russells Point Police Department and the churches of Russells Point host the annual event, well-lit and traffic-free environment gives kids of all ages a chance to experience Beggar’s Night. 

Mary Rutan Hospital — 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, team members handing out treats under the overhang by north Madriver Street and Irving Avenue. 

Zanesfield United Methodist Church — 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, free hot dogs and hot chocolate served during trick-or-treat. 

Chippewa Neighborhood Outreach Center’s 3D House of Horror —  4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at 13976 Ironwood Ave., Lakeview; free to attend, 3D glasses provided; Thursday’s run is the “Not So Scary” night, with guests invited to take flashlights with them; Friday’s “Scary” night includes the full haunted house special effects. 

Riverside Schools PTO’s trunk or treat — 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, Quincy park.
