Benjamin Logan High School 10th-grade student Tony Tambaro is putting his artistic skills to work in a meaningful community project.
After Trent and Krista Reynolds received grant funds from the Logan County Visitors Bureau for a new sign at En Gedi Ridge, located at 8684 US 68 N, Rushsylvania, Krista reached out to Jennifer Davis, BLHS Art Teacher, about painting it.
Mrs. Davis suggested that a student take on the project, and Tony eagerly accepted the challenge.
Tony and his family visited En Gedi Ridge with Mrs. Davis, where they learned more about the zoo, met the animals up close and gathered inspiration. Tony took numerous reference photos and developed a detailed concept sketch featuring animals such as camels, zebras and birds.

He is now transferring his vision to a large painted canvas, which will later be transformed into a permanent outdoor sign by his grandmother’s professional sign company.
This collaborative project connects creativity, family, education and community — a true reflection of the school’s spirit of learning beyond the classroom.
