Cody Maynard, 33, of Troy, was arrested by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department Wednesday, Sept. 24, following a domestic incident on the city’s west side at 12:58 p.m.
According to the report, the victim called police after Maynard illegally entered the home of his estranged wife in what he reported was an attempt to remove his belongings, having not lived at the residence for the past two months.
Maynard reportedly forced his way in to the house through the front door, and again forced his way into a bedroom, pushing the victim on both occasions.
The defendant was standing in the front yard of the home when police arrived and after questioning both Maynard and the victim, officers arrested Maynard on the charge of burglary. No injuries to the victim were noted in the report.
Following his arrest, Maynard was transported to the Logan County Jail without further incident.
