Bellefontaine tennis falls in final regular season match

The Bellefontaine girls tennis team lost 3-2 to host Lehman Catholic on Tuesday in the final regular season match.

They finish with an overall record of 5-8. They were 1-5 in Central Buckeye Conference matches.

The wins came at second singles and first doubles.

At first singles, C. Spaide of Lehman defeated Ava Dolan, 6-3, 6-1.

At second singles, the Chiefs’ Olivia Wayre won over B. Fortkamp, 7-6 (7-1), 6-4.

At third singles, the Cavaliers’ A. Alvarez defeated Oriana Vasquez, 6-1, 6-0.

Mia Brown and Rylee Crabtree of BHS kept their record perfect with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Cooper and McGinnis.

At second doubles, Pleasant and Roullhacn defeated Adison Postle and Maria Casanas of the Chiefs, 6-3, 6-1.

In junior varsity play, Layla Hoyt lost two singles matches. Charlie Hughes and Vanshika Shah lost a doubles match.

Bellefontaine will play in the sectional tournament on Monday at Troy.
