The Bellefontaine girls tennis team defeated visiting Northwestern 3-2 on Tuesday.
At first singles, Sadie Pilson defeated Bellefontaine’s Ava Dolan, 6-0, 6-0.
At second singles, the Chiefs’ Olivia Wayre defeated Jackie Lower, 6-4, 6-3.
At third singles, Oriana Vasquez of BHS got her first varsity win over Abby Wagner, 6-0, 6-3.
The Lady Chieftains’ first doubles team of Rylee Crabtree and Mia Brown got a win over Samantha Wolfe and Kaylie Jahna, 6-2, 6-3.
At second doubles, Chloe Hager and Karmalita Gonzalez defeated BHS’ Adison Postle and Maria Casanas, 6-0, 6-0.
In junior varsity play, Charlie Hughes and Vanshika Shah won a doubles match.

On Wednesday, the Lady Chiefs lost to host Jonathan Alder 4-1.
The victory came at first doubles, with Mia Brown and Rylee Crabtree now 11-0 on the season.
At first singles, Katie Sloat defeated Dolan, 6-4, 6-2.
At second singles, Sarah Green won over Wayre, 6-3, 6-3.
At third singles, it was Leyla Ruth who defeated Postle, 2-6, 6-0, 6-2.
Brown and Crabtree defeated Alder’s Audrey Manring and Owyn Johnson, 6-2, 6-2
At second doubles, Gabby Elias and Ashlyn Gall defeated Hughes and Vasquez, 6-3, 6-1.
Vanshika Shah lost a singles match in JV play.
Bellefontaine is now 1-5 in the CBC and 5-6 overall. They return to action today with a home match against Sidney, which will also be Senior Night. Play begins at 4:30 p.m.
