Area residents have a chance to win an autographed County Legends 2024 Fest guitar featuring signatures from performers in last year’s show, while also supporting a local mother in her courageous cancer fight.
West Liberty resident Kiri Adams is a single mother of two boys, ages 16 and 13. In January, she was diagnosed with stage-two, non-invasive carcinoma triple negative breast cancer.
Adams found out that she had been born with the BRCA gene that causes this rapid-growing cancer. She recently completed six months of chemotherapy and underwent a double mastectomy.
Following her intensive treatment and surgery, Adams and her family received the welcome news that she is cancer-free and she been given an all-clear, with no signs of cancer in her lymph nodes.
However, with all of the medical treatments, surgeries and ongoing care, the single mother and her family are struggling with daily expenses such as their mortgage, utilities and essential household needs.

One hundred percent of the money from the guitar raffle will go directly to covering medical costs, daily living expenses, and “making sure that Kiri can focus on healing and spending precious time with her children, without the constant worry of financial strain,” organizers said.
The guitar raffle is live online now, and continues this week, concluding at the West Liberty Labor Day Live concert Saturday, Aug. 30, at Lions Park.
The highest bidder will receive an autographed CLFest24 guitar featuring signatures from Tracy Lawrence, Diamond Rio, Chris Cagle and Blackhawk.
Saturday’s show starts at 4 p.m., featuring McGuffey Lane, Fleetwood 2 the Max, Jess Kellie Adams and Kenny Chaffin, hosted by the West Liberty Lions Club, with support from CLFest.
The concert has a $10 cover charge at the gate for live music, a beer garden, food trucks and a day of fun.
Bids can be placed via the “Country Legends Festival” on Facebook page, by sending a private message if you chose to remain anonymous, or live at the show on Saturday. Cash, check or credit card will be accepted.
If anyone would like to donate, but is not interested in the guitar raffle; you can do so through Kiri’s official GoFundMe:
