Bellefontaine Fire Department’s newly promoted Assistant Chief Vince Wulf, right, is administered the oath of office Monday afternoon, Aug. 25, by Bellefontaine Mayor Dave Crissman. Wulf previously served in an interim assistant chief role since Dec. 29, 2024. “We are pleased to announce the promotion of Vince Wulf to the position of Assistant Chief of ‘A’ Shift,” BFD officials said. “Vince has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of our community. In his role, Vince will be instrumental in enhancing our operational effectiveness and continuing to uphold high standards of service.” During the ceremony, Wulf’s family presented him with his white helmet and gold insignia, symbolizing his new role and the dedication he has shown throughout his career.
