Terry E. South, 64, at large, landed in the Logan County Jail on a grand theft of a motor vehicle charge after he reportedly stole a 1993 Nissan from a named complainant on Friday, August 15.
After receiving the stolen vehicle report, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department entered the vehicle into the LEADS system and a BOLO was put out to surrounding counties.
The Marysville Division of Police reported that they located both South and the vehicle in Marysville at 9:46 p.m. Friday and contacted the BPD.
Marysville officers transported South to the Logan/Union county line, where he was taken into custody by the BPD and lodged in the Logan County Jail on the grand theft charge.

Pair charged with domestic violence
A local couple are both facing domestic violence charges after an incident at their home Sunday, August 17, at about 8:04 p.m.
Officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to 248 Shady Lane on the call of a domestic dispute where they found the caller, Victoria J. Gibson, 21, and Carlos Salgado, Jr., 24, both of that address and both of whom had visible injuries. Gibson, who answered the door, had two fresh cuts on the right side of her face and bruises on her throat and was reportedly heavily intoxicated when police arrived.
Police then questioned Salgado, who said that Gibson attacked him after he placed their child in bed, leaving what appeared to be multiple recent fingernail scratches on his chest. Salgado admitted to pushing Gibson, but denied choking her.
Since both Gibson and Salgado had visible injuries, both were placed under arrest on domestic violence charges. Once Gibson arrived at Logan County Jail, she became combative with the corrections staff and had to be replaced in the restraint chair.
Salgado was lodged in jail without incident.
The child was placed under the care of Salgado‘s parents.
At the Logan County Jail, Salgado provided police with a voicemail from Gibson that was made Tuesday, August 12, where Gibson reportedly stated she was sorry for hitting their child with a door. A report of the incident was forwarded to Logan County Children’s Services for further consideration of charges.
