Four Benjamin Logan students will advance to the Regional Science Day March 22 at Ohio Northern University after receiving superior ratings at Benjamin Logan High School’s Local Science Day.
The awardees and their recognitions from the Tuesday, Jan. 28, event include:
• Dylan Vance: Superior rating and 1st Place Environmental Award;
• Winnie Bodin: Superior rating and 2nd Place Environmental Award;
• Ella Chamberlain: Superior rating and Biochemistry Award; and
• Junah Tingley: Superior rating, Microbiology Award, and Mary Rutan Award.
The event, organized under the guidance of Spencer Reames and Joslin Lee, showcased the talents of students in the fields of science and research.
A total of 13 projects were presented during the event, with the following students also participating and showcasing their scientific acumen: Gabriel Elsasser, Madelyn Daniels, Mayse Daniels, Leah Dials, Camden Linebaugh, Emily LeVan, Oliver Morse, Alex Long, Rylan Norviel, Jaylyn Parker, Adalynn Peterson, Josey Queen, Molly Siefring, Kade Smith and Abby Vance.
Mr. Reames and Ms. Lee expressed his pride in the students’ achievements.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see the passion and effort these young scientists put into their projects. Their success is a testament to their hard work and the supportive environment at Benjamin Logan,” Mr. Reames said.
“These students have gone above and beyond in their scientific explorations. We are excited to see how they perform at the regional level and have high hopes for their continued success,” Ms. Lee added.
