A 15-year-old boy is in custody as a person of interest in connection with the Christmas Eve shooting death of a Bellefontaine man.

Charly Yuretich of Bellefontaine was taken into custody by city police Tuesday morning, Dec. 24, after Nathaniel G. Jones, 23, was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside the residence at 227 N. Detroit St.

Jones was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Bellefontaine police report.

Police responded to the residence about 10:22 a.m. following a 911 call about a shooting there.

Police were assisted by Bellefontaine Fire & EMS and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
