Benjamin Logan Schools celebrated Halloween with a wave of school spirit and community connection at this year’s Spirit Walk Friday, Oct. 25.
Organized by Rob Painter and the Raider Outreach Club (ROC), a student-led service organization dedicated to promoting leadership and community service, the event brought together over 600 elementary students and high schoolers in a festive atmosphere.
Elementary students in Halloween costumes paraded through the high school halls, eagerly trick-or-treating and proudly displaying their costumes.
High school students lined the hallways to cheer on the younger students and hand out candy, making sure each ghost, princess and superhero received a sweet treat.
“The Spirit Walk is a fun way for students of all ages to connect, share in the Halloween excitement, and display their Raider pride,” said Painter, ROC adviser. “It’s especially meaningful to see high school students give back to the younger students in this way.”
As part of their commitment to community involvement, ROC members regularly engage in service projects throughout the year, and the Spirit Walk offers an opportunity to foster connections within the school community.
The Raider Outreach Club is open to students from all high school grade levels and partners with Key Club and Interact, requiring members to complete a minimum number of service hours annually. Student Government is also a contributor to the event.
