Motorist cited in crash

Michael Kizer, 42, of DeGraff, was treated for suspected minor injuries and cited for failure to control after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed Thursday, Oct. 3, in the area of the 300 block of south Main Street in DeGraff.

Kizer was seconds away from his residence traveling northbound around 2:45 p.m. on south Main Street when he failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole, deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.

The motorist told deputies his cell phone fell from its holder and when he went to retrieve it he drove off the road.

Disabling damage was reported to the 2006 silver Ford SUV Kizer was driving. Riverside EMS assisted at the scene.
