Tej Singh, 37, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead following a rear-end collision that occurred around 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15, on the north side of the intersection at south Mian Street and west Auburn Avenue.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report that Singh was southbound in the left lane when he accelerated too rapidly and struck the rear of another southbound motorist, Madison Miller, 33, of Bellefontaine.
Functional damage was reported to the 2004 Honda Odyssey Miller was operating. Minor damage was reported to Sing’s 2011 Toyota Corolla. No injuries were reported.
