Rylee Bauknecht, 18, of Huntsville, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead following a Monday, July 23, rear-end collision that occurred around 12:17 p.m. on the exit ramp of westbound U.S. Route 33 at north Main Street.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report she was exiting U.S. 33 westbound in a 2013 silver GMC Acadia when she rear-ended a Republic Services of Ohio trash truck operated by Brian Stevens, 51, of Marion.
No one was injured. Only minor damage to the GMC was reported.
