Earl L. “Pee Wee” Arbogast, 93, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Green Hills Community in West Liberty. He was born in New Hampshire, Ohio on July 3, 1930, to the late Guy and Mary Lucille (Wagner) Arbogast.

On May 31, 1980, he married Gertrude “Gertie” (Sauber) Arbogast, and she preceded him in death on February 17, 2022. He is also preceded in death by his sisters: Doris Fox, Lucille Metz and Burneta Foulk and brothers: G. Harrsion Arbogast, Jay Arbogast, Herbert “Herb” Arbogast, and Franklin Arbogast.

He leaves behind his children: Lynne (David) Wycinski, Jeff (Rochelle) West, David (Bernadette) Mohr, Jane (Steven) Veniard, and Pamela Campbell; grandchildren: Jennifer (David) Briggs, Chad (Samantha) Brown, Kristy (Drew) Gibbs, Robbie Grounds, Elizabeth (Eric) Beistline, Brandon Arbogast and Brittany (Steve) Williams, Elizabeth Mohr, Haley Mohr, Evan Mohr, Michael (Kristen) Veniard, Jonathan (Amber) Veniard, Meghan (Dale) Nickerson and Jacob (Taylor) Campbell along with numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Eugene (Dixie) Arbogast and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pee Wee retired from the railroad after 46 years and later went on to be a self-employed repairman. He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine and also the Loyal Order of Moose and Elks Lodge in Bellefontaine. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and bowling. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and he loved attending all of their activities.

Visitation for Pee Wee will be Tuesday, May 7, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 N Main Street, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. A funeral mass will be Wednesday, May 8, at 11 a.m. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 316 E. Patterson Ave, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
