Balloons over ILES

ILES third-graders presented their own version of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade before heading out for break. Mrs. Carder’s class read and studied the history behind the book “Balloons Over Broadway,” which tells the story of how the large balloons came to be the signature of the New York parade. Then the students came up with their own balloon designs and paraded through other classrooms to show off their projects.
