Driver transported from crash in Honda East Liberty parking lot

Krystal L. Furrow, 33, of Marion, was transported by Perry Township EMS to Memorial Hospital in Marysville for treatment of suspected serious injuries sustained in a crash Monday afternoon, Oct. 23.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Furrow was operating a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse about 3:10 p.m. in the Honda of America Mfg. at East Liberty parking lot, 11000 State Route 347. She had the right of way in the lane of travel, deputies said.

Ambur L. Gale, 35, of Raymond, reportedly was operating a 2009 Honda Civic and pulled into the lane of travel. Her car was struck by the sport utility vehicle. Gale did not report any injuries.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. The drivers were wearing their seat belts and no citations were listed with the crash report.

• Jeremey M. Shellabarger, 20, of Wapakoneta, did not report any injuries in a crash Sunday, Oct. 22, reportedly involving a vehicle equipment malfunction.

Deputies said he was operating a northbound 2005 Ford Mustang about 8:25 p.m. in the 5300 block of County Road 130 when the steering wheel reportedly stopped working. He then drove off the east side of the road and struck a utility pole.

No damage was reported to the pole. Damage was heavy to the car, which was towed from the scene. Shellabarger was wearing his seat belt.

Man charged with menacing, criminal damaging

Benjamin J. Rush, 11612 Leoline Drive, Lakeview, was charged with menacing and criminal damaging related to an incident Saturday, Oct. 21.

Deputies on patrol about 4:20 p.m. observed Rush’s vehicle traveling on State Route 235 and it reportedly matched the description of a suspect vehicle involved in a vandalism complaint.

Deputies said Rush then parked the vehicle at an address in Lakeview, where the vandalism report had been taken.

The victim told deputies that Rush threw a brick through the back door of the residence and also made verbal threats against the victim. Deputies observed that the exterior pane of the window had been broken and there was a brick laying on top of a pile of broken glass.

The defendant was placed under arrest and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
