Bellefontaine City Schools Board of Education members handled a number of personnel items at their Monday evening, Sept. 11, meeting.
The board accepted the resignation of middle school art teacher Lori Lowery, effective Aug. 17.
Mikaela Moore was hired as a speech and language pathologist.
Other new hires include: Seth Close, second shift custodian; Kimberly Collier, educational aide; Delmar Fogan, educational aide; and Eva Skaggs, bus aide.
The board approved the pay for a substitute teacher on special assignment to $140 per day. This is for substitutes who work 11-60 consecutive days in the same assignment.
The board approved an increase to the athletic worker hourly wage to $15.
Salary adjustments were approved for the following teachers: bachelor’s plus nine — Harrison Brunner, Jake Kennedy; bachelor’s plus 18 — Jennifer Brown, Kylie Croston, Cheryl Daniels, Daulton Mosbarger; master’s — Tori England, Skylar Mifsud, Josh Wallace, April Jameson, Zoe Price; master’s plus nine — Rebecca O’Rielley; master’s plus 18 — Sharon Lewis, Patricia Elson; master’s plus 30 — Meagan Antram; master’s plus 45 — Melanie Strittmatter, Megan Cira, Marilyn Smith.
The following were approved as mentor teachers: Katie Davis, Morgan Ebbeskotte, Lisette Hiatt, Lindsey Hogan, Sharon Lewis, Laura Mitchell, Ashley Reser, Bess Standley and Lori Wilson.
Meagan Antram was approved as a Resident Educator Coordinator for K-8.
The following staff were approved as Instructional Team Leaders: Jill Carey, Katie Davis, April Easton, Eric Fatzinger, Lindsey Hogan, Stacey Holycross, Erin Hoyng, Brianne Hughes, Shawn Miller, Justine Oliver, Brooke Pulfer, Joliece Reed, Leslie Regula, Jordan Reser, Michelle Rohrer, Karen Scott, Kate Smith, Susan Stahler, Bess Standley and Ashley Wood.
The following employees were extended supplemental contracts: Cliff Core, PBIS Coordinator; Shanel Henry, grant coordinator; Shawn Miller, technology assistant; and Jenny Salyer, Title I Coordinator.
The following were approved as Drug Free Facilitators: Krista Belser, Carol Fultz, Matt Gallaway and Ciara Irick.
The board approved a resolution accepting the tax rate certification of the Logan County Budget Commission.
The next meeting is 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, in the Distance Learning Center.
