A Bellefontaine High School senior has earned a national award based on her academic excellence.
Julia Easton has been selected as a College Board National Recognition Program award recipient.
Specifically, she received the National Rural and Small Town Award.
A daughter of Wes and April Easton, Julia earned the recognition because of her academic achievements in school and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and/or AP Exams.
The College Board National Recognition Program is not affiliated with the National Merit Scholarship Program.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate Julia and recognize her for the great work she has been doing,” Bellefontaine City Schools Gifted Coordinator Angie Horvath said.
“We’re proud of her strong academic performance in the classroom and on College Board assessments like the PSAT/NMSQT and AP Exams. There’s so much that makes our students unique, and receiving this honor reinforces the strong academic programs offered at BHS.”
