David W. Luciano II, 52, of 325 Bentz St., Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Saturday, June 10, at his residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to his residence about 8:40 p.m related to a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with Luciano’s fiancé, who reported that she and Luciano had gotten into a verbal argument that day and that he had gotten physical with her, reportedly restraining her and throwing her up against a wall. Deputies said she had fresh scrapes on her right knee and her right elbow was red. She declined medical treatment.
When deputies had arrived at the home, they said Luciano exited the residence and walked to the north side of the property out of view and then jumped over a chain link fence.
Deputies were able to locate the defendant among some bushes and he complied with their commands to come out and show them his hands. They observed an odor of alcoholic beverage on his person as well.
Deputies said Luciano sustained a scrape to his knee and cuts to his hands. He claimed he was hiding from his fiancé because she was yelling at him, and not hiding from deputies.
He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail. Deputies said Luciano had previous domestic violence convictions in 2003 and 2004.
Woman charged with trespass, assault
Amy J. Bakle, 41, of 395 N. Oak St., Lakeview, was charged with trespass, assault and disorderly conduct relating to an incident Thursday, June 8.
Deputies responded about 1:40 p.m. to The Depot, 115 E. Lake Drive, Lakeview, on a report of a suspicious person causing an issue in the store.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with Bakle, who was asked not to return to the business. However, she reportedly returned about 10 minutes later, accompanied by a man.
Deputies asked Bakle to leave the property and told her several times that she was trespassing. The man she was with also encouraged her to leave the store. However, deputies said she continued to argue with them, and she was placed under arrest.
Deputies said Bakle was uncooperative with them after she was placed under arrest, reportedly screaming in the store and refusing to enter the patrol car.
When deputies placed her in the patrol car, she reportedly kicked a deputy in the back of the head. The deputy also sustained two cuts to his right hand during the altercation.
She was lodged in the jail.
Driver transported from crash at U.S. 33 exit ramp
Dianna M. Cushwa, 52, of Dublin, Ohio, was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash Saturday morning.
Deputies report she was operating a 2020 Audi A4 on the U.S. Route 33 eastbound exit to U.S. Route 68 about 8:30 a.m.
While she was stopped at the stop sign, her vehicle was struck from behind by an eastbound 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Melissa M. Pierre, 35, of Bellefontaine.
Damage was heavy to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene. The drivers were wearing their seat belts.
• Sarah N. Bosley, 26, of Marion, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash Friday evening, June 9.
Deputies report she was operating a southbound 2006 Chevrolet HHR on County Road 187 near Township Road 186 about 8:40 p.m. when she traveled off the left side of the road, striking a ditch and a fence.
Damage was heavy to her vehicle, which was towed from the scene.
