Courtney L. Cooke, 32, of West Mansfield, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident at her residence Tuesday, May 9.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 11:20 p.m. to an address in the 100 block of north Main Street in West Mansfield of a 911 hangup call.
When deputies arrived at the residence, they found a woman outside, later identified as Cooke’s girlfriend, and noticed that she had blood on her bottom lip. When asked about her lip, she told deputies that she had fallen.
Deputies entered the residence and observed a brown liquid on the ground near a bathroom. The girlfriend then started crying, stating that Cooke was intoxicated and had gone out back when deputies arrived.
The girlfriend also stated that during an altercation, Cooke had punched her in the face, knocking her down onto the kitchen floor.
Deputies eventually located the defendant outside hiding behind a nearby building. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
Women lodged on repeat offense of trespassing
Beth A. Church, 48, of Bellefontaine, was charged with trespassing Tuesday related to an incident at her neighbor’s residence along Township Road 179.
Deputies were dispatched about 9:45 a.m. to 1931 T.R. 179, Bellefontaine on a trespassing complaint. The resident reported that Church was on her property again without permission, stating that she found the defendant in her garden and it startled her.
The resident said she then observed Church walk into her berry patch and Church reportedly stomped on plants had just been planted.
The defendant also had been arrested on April 25 for the same offense. She was placed under arrest and transported to the jail.
• Christian “Christy” A. Waldroop, 29, of West Liberty, was charged with falsification and failure to disclose personal information after deputies responded to a trespassing complaint Sunday, May 7.
She also was served with a warrant for felony possession of drugs out of Sidney.
Deputies responded to 11204 County Road 60 and spoke with the resident, who said she had asked her son’s girlfriend, Waldroop, to leave the residence several times over the last several days, but she refused to leave.
Deputies found the defendant hiding in an upstairs bedroom. She initially provided deputies with incorrect names and dates of birth. Deputies then learned she had the felony warrant and was placed under arrest.
Upon arriving at the jail, Waldroop was found unconscious and was administered Narcan and smelling salts were used. Deputies said she regained consciousness and was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for further treatment.
