IL girls first, boys second at Lima Shawnee

Indian Lake’s girls track and field squad finished first and the boys were runner-ups in the Lima Shawnee Invitational on Friday.

The Lady Lakers tallied 149 points to easily finish ahead of Elida (103). Lima Shawnee was third (99), Lima Senior was fourth (41) and Lima Central Catholic took fifth (35).

Winning events for the IL girls were Elayna Richardson in the 100 (12.94), Reece Martin in the 100 hurdles (17.18), Addison Beck in the high jump (4-8), Stephanie Altstaetter in the shot put (34-10), Maddie Miller in the discus (96-2.5), the 400 relay team of Richardson, R. Martin, Addison Beck and Ava Huffman (51.86), the 800 relay team of Richardson, Huffman, Cameron Finfrock and Ashlynn Biederman (1:53) and the 1,600 relay team of Richardson, Rash, Finfrock and R. Martin (4:15).

Finishing second for the Lakers were Reece Martin in the long jump (14-11), Maddie Miller in the shot put (31-7), Stephanie Altstaetter in the discus (95-5) and and the 400 Iron Maiden team of Beck, Altstaetter, M. Miller and Meadow McCullough (58.29).

Taking third for the Lady Lakers were Reagan Rash in the 1,600 (5:50), Meadow McCullough in the high jump (4-8), the 3,200 relay team of K. Miller, Makayla Motter, Andi Miller and Maggie Reese (13:04), the 800 sprint relay of K. Miller, Rash, Finfrock and Biederman (2:04) and the distance medley relay of McCullough, Motter, Reece and A. Miller (17:36).

KaiLea Miller was fourth in the 1,600 (5:55), Ava Huffman was fifth in the long jump (14-5) and adding sixth-place finishes were Addison Beck in the 100 (13.98) and Gillian Taylor in the 100 hurdles (21.46).

The Laker boys placed second with 99 points. Lima Shawnee won with 171 points. Lima Central Catholic was third with 66, Elida took fourth with 57 and Lima Senior finished fifth with 48.

Ryan Culp led the Lakers with a win in the pole vault (11-0).

Placing second for the Lakers were Isaac Morrison in the high jump (5-8), Gavin Henry in the 110 hurdles (17.49) and the distance medley of Tony Cummins, Jayden Martin, Titus Kelly and Bryan Mohler (13:26).

Finishing in third were Vincent Wilson in the pole vault (7-0), Caiden Gauntt in the high jump (5-6), Tony Cummins in the 1,600 (5:29), Quest Clay in the 100 (12.25), the 3,200 relay team of Silas, Noah Creek and Mohler (10:23), the 1,600 relay team of Bryan Mohler, Jacob Freyhof, Everett Wischmeyer and Drake Cosby (3:49), the 800 relay team of Cosby, E. Wischemeyer, Heath Wilson and Gavin Henry (1:40) and the 4×100 Ironman team of Sickles-Sposa, Heath Wilson, Christopher Timms and Culp (53.69).

Placing fourth were Titus Kelly in the 1,600 (5:48), the 800 sprint relay team of Gauntt, Morrison, Draden Stevenson and Quest Clay (1:42) and the 400 relay of Morrison, Gauntt, Clay and Cosby (46.99)

Adding a fifth-place finish were Charles Sickles-Sposa in the discus (103-9.5), Isaac Morrison in the long jump (18-7.5) and Draden Stevenson in the 100 dash (12.55).
