The International Cultural Exchange Service is seeking host families from Logan County for the 2023-24 school year.

The exchange student is responsible for all their extracurricular expenses, school expense and any other personal expenses. The student comes with their own medical insurance. Students are ages 14-17, boys and girls, from more than 20 countries around the world.

“Hosting a student is a wonderful experience; exchange is a privilege in the highest form,” said Julie Lee, ICES area representative. “You get to parent and incorporate a teen from another country into your family.

“We have students who are competitive in soccer, basketball, swimming, running, enjoy playing music, love to read, want to learn about the America we all love. We just need loving families who would be interested in hosting.

“Host families are able to choose what student fits best in their family. Our family has hosted 10 students over the past years and everyone has become a part of our family. “

If you would like to be a host family, or just want to know more about hosting, contact Lee at (419) 733-8653 or email her at julieshmiller.
