Gregory Kiser, 63, of Bellefontaine, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to a traffic stop about 7:40 p.m. Saturday, March 4.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department on patrol on Lincoln Boulevard near U.S. Route 33 initiated a traffic stop on Kiser’s vehicle for multiple marked lanes violations.
The driver also missed his turn to turn into a business driveway and drove through the grass from one business to another.
Upon making contact, officers observed signs of intoxication. Kiser admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the day. He submitted to field sobriety tests and was subsequently placed under arrest.
The defendant was transported to the Logan County Jail and submitted to a breath test. He tested 0.157 blood alcohol content. He also was cited for driving under suspension and marked lanes. Kiser has four prior OVI arrests, officers noted.
He was released to a sober driver.
• Keith Egloff, 48 of Lithopolis, was charged with OVI, also related to a traffic stop Saturday evening.
While on patrol on State Route 366 near Township Road 239 about 10:10 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on Egloff for a headlight violation.
Upon making contact, officers observed signs of intoxication. The defendant submitted to field sobriety test and was subsequently placed under arrest for OVI.
Egloff was transported to the Logan County Jail and submitted to a breath test. He tested 0.200 blood alcohol content. He also was cited for headlights required and was released to a sober driver.
