Deputies responded to a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle and deer about 9:05 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the 12000 block of County Road 70 west of Quincy.
Wayne L. Dickenson II, 52, of Quincy, reportedly was operating an eastbound 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle when it struck a deer, causing the motorcycle to be laid on its side, ejecting Dickenson and his passenger, Karen J. Dickenson, 52, of Quincy.
Wayne was transported by CareFlight helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton for treatment of suspected serious injuries.
Karen was transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected serious injuries as well.
Deputies said Karen was wearing a helmet, and helmet use was unknown for the motorcycle operator. No citations have yet been issued.
Damage was moderate to the motorcycle, which was towed from the scene.
