UPDATE: Woman transported following two-vehicle crash

UPDATE: Sally Haydon-Wilkes, 63, of Lakeview, was transported by Huntsville Fire and EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for possible injuries following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday, Dec. 17, in the area of U.S. Route 33 at County Road 57, deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.

Haydon-Wilkes reportedly was eastbound along U.S. Route 33 in a 2020 gray Toyota Rav-4 when her vehicle struck the rear passenger side of a 2020 black Ford F-150 pickup driven by Robert Beatty, 74, of Bellefontaine.

Beatty was westbound on C.R. 57 attempting to cross U.S. 33 when he failed to yield, deputies report. He was cited for failure to yield. Disabling damage was reported to both vehicles.

A female driver involved in the accident was transported by Huntsville Fire and EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital after complaining of leg pain, deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.

Eastbound traffic on U.S. 33 was reduced to one lane near the crash for a period of time as first responders worked to clear the scene.
