Erin Dougherty, 30, of Russells Point, was charged with possession of drugs (bulk), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop about 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department on patrol on State Route 366 near Township Road 269 and observed a vehicle driven by Dougherty without any working headlights.
Upon conducting a traffic stop, signs of drug use were observed. Dougherty admitted to having marijuana inside of her vehicle. During a probable cause search, approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine and marijuana was located, officers said.
The defendant was taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail. Jail staff reportedly located a straw on her person with a white crystal substance inside during the booking process.
