Foxi Carter, 41, of Bellefontaine, was charged with domestic violence in the early morning hours Thursday, Aug. 29, following a disturbance at the victim’s residence.
Around 1:45 a.m. officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to a residence on east Spring Avenue, where Carter was reportedly kicking the door of the victim’s home.
Upon arrival, officers found Carter on the porch, yelling at the victim inside. Despite attempts to de-escalate the situation, Carter provided inconsistent reasons for her being there and claimed she was there to sleep and identified the victim as a family member.
The victim said she had not been in contact with Carter for some time and that Carter was not allowed on the property. The victim described Carter’s behavior as erratic and aggressive, including kicking the door and shouting threats to kill the victim and their family.
Although Carter denied making threats, she became more hostile when officers attempted to arrest her. She continued to threaten the victim while being handcuffed.
She was transported to the Logan County Jail.
