William Douglas Kiser (Doug), age 65, began his journey home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family. He fought a very long and courageous three-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Doug was born October 24, 1957, in Bellefontaine to the late William David (Dave) and Shirley Ellen (Guthrie) Kiser.

He leaves behind to grieve his loss, the love of his life, wife, and partner of 22 years, Karen Rigel Kiser. He also leaves 6 children: Jennifer Kiser, Nick (Rachelle) Kiser, Christopher (Malisha) Rigel, Adam (Patricia) Kiser, Hunter Kiser, Shelby (Chris) Schertenlieb; 11 grandchildren, Tristan, Brayden, Ari, Carter, Landon, Raylee, Bentley, Kamden, Carson, Urban and Waylon; 3 brothers, Gary Kiser, Greg Kiser and Brad Kiser; brothers and sisters in law David (Marla) Knight and Brenda (Jim) Lamma; special cousin Rocky Kelly and very special friend, Juanita Noll Dewaters of Bowling Green, KY. Doug comes from a very large family of many wonderful aunts and cousins.

Doug retired recently from Hatch Stamping in Chattanooga, TN, after a combined 40 years in the automotive manufacturing industry as a plant manager. Many will remember him working at Honda of America in Marysville OH.

Doug was an avid sports enthusiast especially the OSU Buckeyes. He enjoyed golfing when he wasn’t working. He devoted his life to his job and loved working outside in the yard as well. But his greatest love of all was his family, especially his cherished grandchildren and beloved German Shepherd, Ika.

We will remember Doug as the best husband, dad, friend, mentor and poppy in the world. He leaves behind a huge void in our lives and we miss him so very much.

There will be no services at this time. Private burial will take place at a later time.
