William “Bill” Jenkins, 61, of Urbana, formerly of Bellefontaine, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on October 23, 1961, in Bellefontaine, Ohio to Harold “Scoop” and Barbara (Severs) Jenkins. Bill graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1980, he then received his bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University. He was a member of the men’s chorus while in college. Bill enjoyed playing tennis, music, theater and traveling anywhere there are mountains. He was an avid fan of Ohio State Buckeye football, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Reds.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Jenkins, whom he married May 16, 2023; sister, Lori (Dennis) Scott; stepchildren, Lyndan Hollingshead, Jared (Natilee) Hollingshead; step grandson Rhett Hollingshead; nephews, Ryan and Brennon; nieces, Jessie and Nicole; special friends, Suzanne Dennis, Dee Caudill, Rob (Jenny) Vogt, as well as aunts, uncles, and in-laws.
He is preceded in death by parents and brother, Dennis Jenkins.
Per Bill’s request there will be no services.
