The Indian Lake Schools Board of Education elected officers and set their schedule for the year during their organizational meeting Wednesday, Jan. 8.
Gabe Wickline was unanimously voted board president for the ninth year in a row. Chad Ross was chosen to serve as vice president for the eighth year. District Treasurer Coleen Reprogle administered the oaths of office.
The board considered and passed several annual housekeeping items to begin the new year.
The board scheduled the meeting dates for the coming year (listed below), with most meetings to be conducted on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Indian Lake Board Office:
• Jan. 22(Wednesday) at 4:30 p.m.
• Feb. 19 (Wednesday) at 6:30 p.m.
• March 17 (Monday) at 6:30 p.m.
• April 21 (Monday) at 6:30 p.m.
• May 21 (Wednesday) at 5 p.m.
• June 26 (Thursday) at 5 p.m.
• July 21 (Monday) at 6:30 p.m.
• Aug. 18 (Monday) at 5 p.m., also Open House Night
• Sept. 15 (Monday) at 6:30 p.m.
• Oct. 20 (Monday) at 6:30 p.m.
• Nov. 24 (Monday) at 5 p.m.
• Dec. 15 (Monday) at 6:30 p.m.
Committee Assignments remained the same as last year. They are: Negotiations (2): Steve Spath, chairman, Scott Staley, representative; Building and Grounds, Equipment (2): Chad Ross, representative, Steve Spath, chair; Transportation (1): Shannon Reese; Technology (1): Scott Staley; Finance (2): Chad Ross, chair, Steve Spath, representative; Public Relations, Legislative Group (2): Gabe Wickline, representative, Shannon Reese, chair; Policies and Ohio School Boards Association’s Legislative Liaison (2): Scott Staley, chair, Gabe Wickline, representative; Strategic Planning (2): Chad Ross, chair, Wickline, representative; Ohio School Boards Association (2): Scott Staley, delegate, Shannon Reese, alternate; Association’s Student Achievement Liaison (1): Shannon Reese.
Scott Staley was appointed to the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Board for a term that runs from Jan. 1, 2024, to Dec. 31, 2026.
Shannon Reese was appointed to the Russells Point Parks and Recreation Board.
